Visa/Passport Informations
- Passports:
Passports valid for at least six months from date of entry required by all except nationals of Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay arriving in Brazil directly from their own countries and holding a national identity card.
- Return ticket:
All travellers must be in possession of onward or return tickets and sufficient funds to cover their stay.

- Visa requires to attend the conference: Tourist Visa (scientists, professors or researchers attending cultural, technological or scientific conferences, seminars).
- It takes about 10 days to get the visa. Please, try to get your visa as soon as possible (30 days before your trip) to avoid undesired and unexpected delay problems.
- Attach your invitation letter and a printed copy our the ECC9 home page to the documents that are required to submit to the Brazilian Consulate to get your visa.

- Vaccination: Certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is a compulsory requirement for the issuance of visa to travelers entering Brazil from:Angola, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, French Guyana, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Venezuela, and Zaire. Vaccination against yellow fever is furthermore required for travelers with destination to the following states in northern and mid-western Brazil: Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, Tocantins and to the Federal District encircling Brasília. Vaccination against polio is also recommended for travelers with destination to the Federal District (surrounding areas of Brasilia) and the following North, Northeast and Midwest Brazilians states of Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, and Tocantins. Also, certificate of vaccination against polio is a compulsory requirement for issuing visas for children aged between 3 moths and six years.
