• Approved MECB (Brazilian Complete Space Mission). It is decided that INPE should develop data collection and remote sensing satellites, so CTA should develop the satellite remote sensing satellites launchers and deploy a launch center in Brazil.
• PQUI Project (Quiescent Plasma) begins creating a machine to simulate space plasma phenomena and to test instruments for scientific satellites.
• Manufacture of infrared PbTe detectors through vapor transport in order to space applications.
