Antenna of Marine Remote Sensing Station, in Cachoeira Paulista, Brazil.
In partnership with Petrobras, two new facilities were opened at unit based in Cachoeira Paulista: Laboratory of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Capture and Marine Remote Sensing Station. First one linked to Laboratory for Combustion and Propulsion (LCP) to develop chemical looping combustion (CLC) aimed at capturing carbon dioxide from combustion processes to mitigate greenhouse effect. The station was the first one in Brazil dedicated to marine remote sensing, to process, store and distribute images from ENVISAT satellite.
